Under the Research Links tab there are links to research resources in Australia, Canada, Europe, India, New Zealand, Southern Africa, United Kingdom and United States as well as global links.

The site also complements the books News as it Happens: An Introduction to Journalism, published by Oxford University Press, Online Newsgathering: Research and Reporting for Journalism (Focal Press) and The Daily Miracle: An Introduction to Journalism (Oxford University Press).

Built as a service to journalists, journalism educators, journalism students, and other online researchers, the site also provides examples of how computer-assisted research and reporting can help produce results for journalists.

Another section is about Freedom of Information, its evolution in China, Europe, the United States, and its eventual spread globally.
